Hi, I'm Zac.

I'm the cofounder of Tupelo (YC W21). At Tupelo we're on a mission to change the way traditional small businesses are bought and sold. Previously, I was an HKPFS PhD student at HKUST where I worked on Model-Based Reinforcement Learning and was fortunate to be advised by James Kwok. I dropped out of my PhD to focus on Tupelo full-time.

Prior to my work on Model-Based Reinforcement Learning, I spent my time working on a variety of Machine Learning problems in industry. I was the Machine Learning lead at Atollogy, where we applied cutting edge Computer Vision and Active Learning algorithms to solve problems in manufacturing. I also worked on forecasting delivery times at Wolt as a Machine Learning Intern.
